sunshine, seashells, and seaweed...oh, my

We just returned from a trip to the beach...just the four of us.  Nora has loved the beach in the past, and we were really hoping that she and Xander would both enjoy the beach as much as Andrew and I do...boy, did we underestimate just how much the kids would love it. :)  Every day, the kids were up very early asking to hit the beach.  Xander would stand at the sliding door pointing outside saying, "Get in wader, peeees!"  It was so fun seeing them really love the entire experience, including the sand and fish and crabs.  Every day Nora was ready to try something new, snorkeling, boogie boards, you name it.

The first day was overcast and the water was pretty yucky with seaweed, so we hung out o the beach and played with the sand and made sandcastles.

The next day was sunny and the water was prettier.  Excellent day for playing in the water!  We were blessed to have pretty weather all week.  It didn't rain on us, and there was a nice breeze.  The water was pretty green for a few days, but that didn't stop us from getting in at all! We can't wait to go again.

At the end of each day, we would take the tent down and bring up our chairs and everything.  The kids LOVED that part of the day.  They would run around on the beach looking for crabs, dancing, and laugh.  It was so fun to watch them.
